Horribly produced game; had high hopes for it
I will start off by saying that I was looking forward to a good RPG for my Mac until Baldurs Gate comes out November 30th, 2012, and had seen this game with 4-stars listed out of 5. So I figured what the heck, Ill give it a shot for $9.99. Unfortunately the game completely let me down.
Controls: Although you can program them, they are extremely difficult to control. I truly mean extremely hard to control. This game requires a controller at the very least. Your standard apple mouse and keyboard will not do. Its doesnt stop there… There are so many controls, it is very hard to keep track of everything.
Graphics/View: The graphics are impressive. Beautifully built and rendered. Unfortunately, its hard to see everything due to the controls, and youre stuck constantly trying to maneuver your mouse and keyboard controls all at once just to see in the direction your character is looking. A major flaw for sure. Of course, as youre trying to control your view, youre getting killed by monsters in the process.
Story: The story line seems weak and doesnt get you into the game all to easily. Definitely rated 16+ for content as well.
Setup time: It took me about 30 minutes to get the game setup to the way I wanted it to be with controls, etc. Unfortunately as mentioned above, the controls are still impossible to operate with two hands.
Overall: I would not recommend this game to anyone who is looking for a fun, simple, well displayed RPG or any other format for that matter. The developers of this game and all games in general truly need to think about the ease of controls for players on a Mac or PC before creating it, or just leave it for Xbox/Playstation.
